Female Travelers Pee Standing Up: She-pees, P-mates and Urine Funnels
74As a female, I often have feelings of envy as to what it would be like to travel as a man. They just have it so easy! Where we females have to struggle in dealing with squat toilets, periods and vaginal infections, males get to run along worry-free and best of all, pee standing up! Oh, what freedom!
If only it were that easy for us girls. Planning a camping trip, away from toilets, is often a nightmare, but for the lucky guys – they get to pee in the bushes (and without the need to show off their bums in the process). They can get out at a bus stop and do their business in a corner with little drama, and they easily avoid those dingy toilet seats.
Female Travelers Pee Standing Up
Well, ladies, you can fear traveling off the beaten path no longer with the help of she-pees, P-mates and female urine funnels. The best part about these awesome products is the fact that we can now pee standing up, with little or no drama whatsoever. Just pop out one of your P-mates (they are disposable), put it in place and let it roll!
The channeling power of these devices help you to make sure there is no mess and minimal undressing involved when needing to urinate.
P-Mate and Urine Funnel Uses
- Avoid nasty toilet seats
- Use male urinals – avoid female toilet lines
- Easily urinate in nature
- Avoid squatting
- Avoid over exposing oneself when urinating in nature
- Use for emergencies when stuck on a bus or in a traffic jam
- Avoid porta-potties at festivals and concerts
Growing Accustomed
A little practice makes perfect. It is a smart idea to try out your new pee assisting product in the privacy of your own home before using it in public in order to ensure there will be no leakage. A different technique might need to be applied depending on the type of clothing you are wearing, too, so definitely keep that in mind!
Camping Options
Portable toilets are specially sealed sacks that offer both the containment of urine and solid waste. The bags can be used by both males and females, and they can be reused until full. These are great options for those camping and not wanting to create smelly waste nearby their camping area.
Non-disposable Alternatives
Besides the paper disposable urination devices, there are also reusable female urine funnels. Of course, this might be the best option financially, but the device will need to be washed after each use. Off the beaten path travelers know that proper sanitation is often a problem, and who wants to carry around a non-disinfected urine funnel in their backpack? These alternatives are best suited or individuals at home that are medically unable to use a toilet as normal.

u can also try the finger method!
Hilarious hub! I've heard of these devices, but have always just gone the "squat and wiggle butt" way. When on a long bus ride in, say, Laos, I found that it's just really important to wear a full skirt at least knee-length for minimal flashing. And then to learn not to pee on your foot. While hiking, I just find a rock or tree to hide behind.
